Reeling from the Great Solar Catastrophe of the 2040s, Humankind’s moral and societal evolution has been set back by many generations. Technology’s advance has not halted, and daily existence is designed by those who shape Humanity's empires. Meanwhile, the extra-solar colony of Esotera is shaping the course of human history, offering a new hope to the masses. Not much has changed. Life is a war, and you fight, or you die. _________________________________________________________________ Jacob Fullson, a scavenger and sometimes gun-for-hire, shambles through the Salt Wastes, the sun unrelenting, punishing him with its fiery glow. Jacob's profession takes him to places other dare not go. He presses on, eager to return the day's tech score; hard-to-find, highly valuable electronics. However, Jacob's usual route has been waylaid by a local Amp Cult. Forced to go off-route, Jacob is riding a dangerous edge, and a mad thirst is beginning to rear its ugly head.
